Petra Ministries Family Church - Plumtree Zimbabwe
Opened in 2012
Dukwe Petra Ministries.
The church has not received much resistance from village leaders over the last year. It seems that the church and its people have gained more respect although they still think we are against their sangoma worship. I have been asked to lead village prayer and preaching and comfort the afflicted when something bad has happened. In December we had a very powerful kids celebration, with the year ending we have seen more kids coming from none saved home, which is the thing that brings tears of joy to my heart. Those children who have been coming for two years and had parents oppose them because of their attendance are involved in our church in a big way. In Dukwe it is not easy doing home follow up since their parents are not happy with them attending church, but we continue to ask and inviting them back. Petra Dukwe is 6 years old and the old age people we started with are finding it very difficult to come to church because of distances and their only way to get there is to walk. Many are unable to do this distance Sunday in and Sunday out. Our challenge is to train people to do home visit and when we have big meetings we arrange to fetch them with donkey cart or with bikes. Youth is our challenge Dukwe this year. We are teaching them to pray. Our main prayer is for 4000 young Zimbabwe girls who fall pregnant in primary school, grade 7. Pray as our heart is to have open air meetings. Zimbabwe has freedom to worship but not freedom of assembly, so we need to pray into our open air meetings. We need to raise our standard of prayer (if my people who are call by My Name shall humble themselves and pray) we must bend our knees.Amen and Amen Pastor Welcome |
